Had an incredibly disappointing experience yesterday. I went in asking for a wispy fringe and I kid you not I look like... Freddie Mercury at the beginning of his career. I also asked for a blow-dry and I could have done a better job at home, she made my hair look like a wig and went to town with the thinning shears on my fringe which says to me she has no concept of working with my hair type. Also asked for my son's hair to be trimmed and it's really uneven at the back. Leaving a 1 star review because I paid £80 for a shockingly low quality service.read more
Went into MP 4 as recommended by other local business ( Broadway, great women's clothes shop) and was so impressed by... Andi and the way she paused all to talk to my 13 year old granddaughter that I ended up risking my own head. I HATE having my hair cut and especially by a total unknown. Sara did a beauty of a job on 13 year old and Andi has left me happy, glowing, looking so much better. Lovely atmosphere in salon, great chat with Andi and love that they took time and care to offer coffee/ tea. Very busy salon because they are good at what they do. I'm a young man and I had a big mess of curls when I came. Sat down and explained I wanted to keep the essence of them... whilst looking neater. The team were very straightforward, I was even passed onto a colleague who they felt could help me more, which I really appreciated. Cared about me more than their pocket. One of the best haircuts I've ever had and I was quite nervous about having too much cut off etc .Also had my eyebrows threaded and they were spot on. Went to get my hair cut into a choppy bob but the stylist didn't understand my hair (which is quite thick) and cut it... really badly. Mainly using thinning shears instead of adding texture to the ends and I left the salon almost in tears with ruined hair. Didn't even offer a discount for unhappy customers. Absolutely shocking and I will never return.read more

I started coming to MP4 two years ago, as I didn't want my first post-lockdown haircut, and first cut in six months by... that point, to be with just some barber in Crouch End, given I'd already gone through them all without ever being satisfied with the results. They arranged an appointment with Andi for me and I've never looked back since. I've always been 100% overjoyed with the job Andi's done with my frankly very uninspiring hair and it's really taught me the difference getting your hair cut by someone who knows what they're doing can make. For my most recent cut, we also took the leap of bleaching my mousey brown hair blonde and I cannot overstate enough how ecstatic I am with the result. Andi did a phenomenal job, I've had nothing but amazing comments from friends and family, and I just love the colour so much. It's perfect. I'd give Andi and MP4 10 stars if I could.read more

The thought of using a salon was stressful to say the least, mainly because of having some bad experiences in the past.... I checked out reviews and found that mp4 sounded just what I was looking for. I was greeted at the door- all H&S set in place and taken to a consultation area. Nicole, the stylist, sat with me and together went through everything I wanted. My mother came in last week for a cut and blow dry, I’ve never seen her so happy! She’s fairly old and doesn’t get out... much and the staff made her feel very comfortable especially two young girls in training.
